Custom Greens for In-Ground or Above-Ground Use
Not
everyone wants a standard size and shape green. Many
locations have a limited or special shaped space or just
want to have a much larger green. So we offer custom
designed putting greens to suit your needs in both above and
in-ground models.
The putting greens are flexible and have the ability to ride
up and down along existing topography. A recent installation
of a 30’ green has several plateaus with a combined rise in
topography of more than 18 inches. The putting green on the
left was designed for a campground.
The campground owners decided they wanted to move the golf
hole cup locations and this is easily done before the carpet
was ordered. You can have as many hole cups as you want,
wherever you want them to be.
In-Ground Putting Greens
For the back yard putter or anyone who wants to have a low
cost putting green on their site this is a great option. In
the schematic drawing here are panels without the edge
system, which are assembled and put in the location where
the sod has been cleared.
The desired shape is painted on
the panels and then easily cut with a jigsaw. The carpet is
cut to fit the desired shape with several inches of overlap
beyond the panels. This carpet is next wrapped over the
edge and the sod placed next to the green and there you have
it: an instant putting green built into the ground.
